Peek Inside A Nutritionist's Fridge

Have you ever wanted to go into a nutritionist or dietician’s kitchen and peek around, just to see what they buy and if it’s much different from what you get? Maybe that’s just me….?

Anyways, seeing can be better then saying, so I wanted to make this blog to give you a sense of what I buy when I get groceries! There's a bonus photo of what the snack cupboard looks like for my almost 2 year old.

Fridge photo order - left door, center, right door.

This is what my fridge looks like after I grocery shop. With COVID19 I only get groceries 1x per week, so I really stock up and then it's slimmer pickings later in the week. This week we're making 1. summer corn chowder with peppers and summer sausage 2. grilled jerk wings with lemony Great Northern beans and harissa marinated cauliflower, feta, citrus 3. Cappello's Paleo fettuccine with homemade pesto, roasted tomatoes and shrimp 4. Pancetta topped with microgreens and granola, grilled peaches with mascarpone. 5. Carnitas with guac, pico and cultured sour cream.

I also picked up berries, melon and a rhubarb cake to eat throughout the week, yay! For breakfast I usually have coffee with heavy whipping cream, eggs or Chobani Less Sugar Greek yogurt topped with Purely Elizabeth's grain free low sugar granola. My butter is on the counter, but I have bacon fat and chicken drippings reserved in little cups on the upper right door of the fridge for cooking eggs in. On the bottom right, I have bottled homemade kombucha. The milk in the fridge is for my toddler since we adults don’t drink milk.

On the left, we have toddler snacks. It’s a combo of dried fruit, oatmeal squeezes, Paleo almond flour cookies and trail mix.
